The Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Avtonomnaya Respublika Krym; Crimean Tatar: Qirim Muhtar Cumhuriyeti, Къырым Мухтар Джумхуриети) is since 1954 an autonomous republic in the southeastern region of Ukraine. Autonomous Republic of Crimea composes most of the Crimean peninsula, a peninsula on the northern coast of the Black Sea. The Ukrainian city of Sevastopol is also on the peninsula.
